Profile

Philippe Truffert

Philippe Truffert has very much an international background. Born in Viet Nam of French parents, he has lived in England the greater part of his life, as well as in South Africa, France and the U.S. He has also traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Canada and Australasia. He read international law at university (LLB Paris), and then pursued an investment banking career for some 25 years in London, with a variety of international banking institutions (U.S., Swiss and French).

On nearing 50, he decided to realise his life long dream and set up his own business. He started with an Executive Search practice which has prospered through the late 90's, and has now become a recognised franchise in the international financial markets.

But alongside this, Philippe also continued doing what he had done for many years, namely connecting with people. For as long as he could remember, he has been called upon by people to lend an attentive ear and offer independent advice. Not only did this happen of its own volition but he clearly enjoyed what some referred to over the years as 'going for another walk on the common'. Given his experience and wealth of knowledge as an international executive, clients, friends and colleagues kept suggesting he take up Executive Coaching.

Upon discovering what that was, he immediately felt drawn to it like a duck to water. He undertook to become a qualified coach as well as an NLP Masters practitioner and gained his certifications with organisations accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He has trained with top coaches Ian McDermott and Jan Elfllline.

The rest, as they say, is history...
